Radio Rookies & WNYC’s Narrative UNIT

In 2018 & 2019, I worked with WNYC’s Narrative Unit to produce the 20th season of the Peabody award winning Radio Rookies program. I also helped develop a new show called, The Stakes. Through long-form, narrative stories, the show explored what it takes to create change. My work with Radio Rookies aired on both The Stakes and the New Yorker Radio Hour.

We’re Here. We’re Fluid. Get Used To it.

In honor of Stonewall’s 50th anniversary, it’s time for an intergenerational queer conversation with Kristin Tomlinson a gender fluid, pansexual 21-year-old. She takes Kai into her very fluid online and IRL world of cartoon cats in crop tops, Instagram icons and friends who see gender as just another construct. Along the way, we look at the meaning of labels and categories for youth today and whether they’re necessary to create and claim political and social space in the LGBTQ community.

I produced this documentary story and Kristin Tomlinson reported it. The story also aired on The New Yorker’s radio hour.
